The cis-regulatory element (CRE) data in fanta.bio (Functional genome ANnotations with Transcriptional Activities) was officially released on February 26, 2024. This database collects and integrally visualizes functional annotations of genomes for the study of gene regulation, focusing on CREs such as promoters and enhancers.

RIKEN BRC is collaborating with this project by providing data from the mouse genome variation database, MoG+, etc. The relationship between mouse genome variation data and CREs and transcription factor binding regions derived from FANTOM, ChIPAtlas, etc. are now displayed in an easy-to-understand manner. This research is a result of the NBDC Integration Promotion Program “Construction of an integrative data platform for transcriptional regulations”.
